My first exposure to massage was in the early 90’s at a Healing Fair in Florida. It helped me so much I continued to receive frequent massage from then on, especially after an auto accident that injured my hips and lower back. My interest in massage grew as time went on and I also learned about yoga and other helpful practices. In 2011, because of my passion for the value and benefit of massage, I chose to attend classes and get my massage license. 

 

I received my massage therapy education at the Alpha Institute of Massage and Skin Care in Port St. Lucie, Florida.  The Alpha Institute was the best school in a 3 county area for over 25 years, due to its small class size and instructors who were working in the field providing the services they taught.   

 

When I moved to Roanoke, Virginia I opened my massage practice, primarily in Botetourt County. After serving the Roanoke Valley since 2012 with quality, therapeutic and relaxation massage services, including hospice massage, I have chosen to move into providing a service that is much needed and very under-served. That service is Comfort Touch™. It is a specialty massage designed to meet the needs of the elderly, those with dementia, autism, intellectual disabilities and anyone needing a caring touch. Since I am of “advanced age” myself and have experience with hospice services, I can appreciate and relate to the needs of this sector of our community.
