Grief-to-Grace: Grief Support Services

candle light4_edited.jpg

It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that loss is part of life. It is also a truth that each person's story of loss is different.

Loss of a loved one is usually the one we think of first and the services at Grief-to-Grace are designed to address that type of grieving. But what about the other types of loses that are not seen by our culture and society as needing recognition or support?

At Grief-to-Grace we respect the painful and life-altering impact of all types of loss. The benefits of acknowledging and allowing grief to be expressed, individually, while providing the space to adapt and integrate new ways of moving forward, are extensive.

While there are many types of grief support groups, not everyone is comfortable in a group setting. Many people are interested in a more personal or private setting to begin gaining understanding of the grieving process. Grief-to-Grace offers individualized one-on-one sessions tailored to you, your beliefs, your needs.

There are many types of loss. Loss of a loved one, a child, a pet, a friend, a relationship, a job, your health, your home or family estrangement. They all come with their own kind of grief. They all come with the need to integrate the loss into your life and adjust to the change in your life's circumstances.

MEET YOUR CERTIFIED GRIEF SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Mary Ann Walker of Grief-to-Grace is a Certified Grief Support Specialist as well as Comfort Touch Therapist and Licensed Massage Therapist. She has been an Integrative Massage Therapist with Hospice for nearly 10 years working with both caregivers and patients. She has learned first-hand
how grief can affect individuals differently, and has learned effective, proven methods to provide support and assistance in coping with loss.

In her own life Mary Ann has experienced many faces of loss. One thing she became aware of is that many types of life-altering loss are not recognized or accepted as such by our society and culture. Due to this, she believes in the value of being acknowledged and supported as you navigate the grief journey. Becoming a Certified Grief Support Specialist, Mary Ann is now including individualized grief support services to her community.
